The tool I wish I had when I started making comics
If you use this Notion planner, you will:

I have been able to create my comic faster by being incredibly organised, tracking my progress and improving my focus. The Comic Creation Studio is designed to be an all-in-one planner to house everything you need to create your comic easily.
This is a Notion template. Notion is a free productivity website and app designed to help you by taking the burden of planning and organisation away from you.
I hate coding, so I feel you. That's why I installed buttons within the template to do all of the annoying and busy work for you. Those buttons do the following:
I even installed a "back" button because I wasn't happy with Notion's default back feature. If you know, you know.
No! It's £15/$20 and it's a one time payment, use forever situation. You don't even have to pay for Notion, the platform this template is designed for.
You're still going to experience stress in making your comic. Unless I'm over your shoulder, cheering you on and giving you advice, you're probably going to feel some degree of stress over the course of your comic creation journey.
However, this planner will enable you to have everything you need on one screen, so you don't need to click around or open a thousand different tabs or folders, which will save you a significant amount of time.
It'll also help you to process your stress if you take advantage of the journal feature. Even if you're not big into journalling, use that space to make useful notes that you can refer back to. Maybe it's an idea for a future page or a marketing plan for the comic.
Nope, although the script/character reference pages are where you'll spend the most of your time. It also has a task manager, where you can track what you need to do and prioritise them according to their deadlines. You can even plug them into your Google calendar!
There's also a handy pomodoro timer installed on the homepage, so you can use the pomodoro technique to help avoid common pains like carpal tunnel syndrome.
It's really easy. You'll get a PDF emailed straight to your inbox. Simply download it and click the link to open it up in Notion. Simply hit the 2 squares to "duplicate it" into your own workspace. And that's it.
But don't worry, I won't just leave you to it. It'll also include a video tutorial where I go through each page and show you how to upload your images and scripts, as well as how to use the task manager.
I use this planner every single time I create comics, to the point where I open up Notion first and Clip Studio Paint second. I've not once thought "Now, where was I?" when sitting down to make my comic because it's right there in front of me. That means as soon as I sit down to work on my comic, I'm creating immediately.
It's been such a massive time saver and stress reliever for me and it will be for you, too.
I want to save time and manage my stress
That's understandable. I don't want you to leave this page empty-handed though, so enter your email address below and I'll send you an email newsletter once a week with encouraging messages, tips and advice on how to complete your comic without burning out.
You'll find the process easier with the planner, but if it's not your kind of thing then the email newsletter will also help. It's helping over 300 comic creators just like you!
I'd love to hear them! Send me an email at [email protected] and I'll do my best to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
